I couldn't have asked for anyone better then this beautiful soul to be one of my best friends and even my boyfriend who i love so dearly. It has almost been a year that we have been together and although, in the beginning we had some people near and dear to us fighting against us, it was all worth the risk and it is now better than ever. He is such a positive person and always knows how to make me feel better. I have learned so much from him and I hope to learn much more. Love is scary because it is such a risk but its one risk i can't help but taking for this guy. I love you Tyler!

Simplicity

scratch that...i LOVE simple.
Everything from:
- a pb&j sandwich
-the warmth of clothes straight from the dryer
-sharing a smile with a stranger
-the smell of fresh cut grass
-a cup of tea& a good book
-dancing around my room and in the rain
-a hot shower
-laughing
-holding hands
-kisses
-a soft breeze
-laughing
-riding bikes
-feeling the wind in your hair
- the feeling you get when you help someone
I could go on all day about the simple things in life i love. Sometimes i find myself wanting more & I forget things like these are worth living for...

A quick recap of my weekend!

Well, it is Sunday once again! I swear i can't keep track of the days anymore, they go by way too fast! Especially the weekend! I have been pretty busy with school during the week so I TRY to get a blog in at least a few times a week! TRY is the key word here haha.
Anyway, this weekend, I hung out with the girls the majority of the time, which is something I haven't done in awhile! Nothing too fancy just the usual "hanging out." But it never ceases to entertain me! Then of course, I hung out with Tyler! We took some bus rides, had a few fun little adventures to the mall and randomly decided to do some squats while at the park...weird and maybe slightly awkward looking but hey thats us!
and now its Sunday, which is sadly almost coming to an end but it was a great day to rest and catch up on my chores!
Hope your week ahead is AH-MAZING!

Mine was lovely, it consisted of:
-Bike rides to the park
-Dancing around my room and taking naps with Tyler
-Sushi which i haven't had in over a month! (which is way too long for me)
-and most of all just relaxing hardcore.
Happy monday!

Trains, Cars and A Whole Lot of Love
(tyler and I)
So this past weekend was way more than i expected! I got to see all of my family who I love so much, spend time with Tyler who i also love very much and I got to take a spontaneous train adventure to San Francisco while I was there. It was amazing! =) I hope I get to take another trip up there very soon and I also hope that the week ahead will bring just as much love and happiness to myself and others!

There is light at the end of the tunnel

So this past week hasn't been too fun, a lot of laying around being sick and missing class (which i am not complaining about! Besides all the extra homework i got) but it is the weekend for me once again..which is always pretty exciting. I'm slowly recovering and I just found out last minute I am going with my mom for the weekend up to Northern California where i used to live. Which is a pleasant surprise because i miss my family! I am pretty sure Tyler is coming along as well! So far...my weekend is looking pretty good. I will get to be with all my loves together! =)
Have a great weekend!
p/s here is a quote from a book i like that i think everyone could use.
" I love myself in this very moment-I don't wait until i lose the weight, get a new job, find a lover, or whatever. This moment is my reality, and I know that the only time I can begin to love who I am is right here and right now. Unconditional love is love with no expectations or conditions. Its the way i choose to love myself. It is accepting what is."

"I am perfect exactly as I am"

I have a book called " Inner Wisdom: Meditations for the Heart and Soul" by Louise Hay which is a book of affirmations to say to yourself. I bought it about a month ago when I decided I need to start living a more positive life. So today I have decided to share one that I think everyone should say to themselves. Sometimes it can be hard to believe it but if we all keep thinking it, we will start to believe ourselves.
I am perfect exactly as I am
" I am neither too much nor too little. I do not have to prove to anyone or anything who I am. I have been many identities, each one a perfect expression for that particular lifetime. I am content to be who and what I am this time. I do not yearn to be like someone else, for that is not the expression i chose this time. Next time i will be different. I am perfect as I am, right now. I am sufficient. I am one with all of life. There is no need to struggle to be better. All i need to do is love myself more today than yesterday, and to treat myself as someone who is deeply loved. With joy, I recognize my perfection and the perfection of life"

Today was..

an overall great day besides studying for hours! I got to share an amazing candlelit dinner outside with Tyler that i cooked (..ok we both did!) We made fettuccine alfredo with broccoli, a Cesar salad on the side and some strawberries with nutella! It was all from Trader Joe's which is my favorite market! Not only did we laugh so hard all night but he even helped me study a bit more..i know i know! He is a keeper and he makes me happy!
I wish everything else in my life was going just as well! =/

Don't be afraid to show the real you!

I feel that I am someone who can't hide how i feel, if I'm upset, mad, annoyed, stessed out or even happy for that matter, you can see it on my face. I was always ashamed that i couldn't hide it or keep it in till i was alone. I would always apologize to everyone around me but I've come to realize that showing how i feel is being real. I'm not pretending to be something or feel something that I am not feeling. So i wear my heart on my sleeve...big deal! I am being truthful and this quote is explains it perfectly!
"Never apologize for showing feeling. When you do so, you apologize for the truth." ~Benjamin Disraeli

Nights at the park...

Nights at the park are wonderful..especially with the people who mean a lot to you!
Tyler and I went to the park last night and it was perfect. The weather was amazing, cool and windy, nothing like what it has been all summer. It was a great change.
We laid down a blanket and enjoyed the weather, the park and the company of each other.
I hope i have many more of these nights!
Enjoy your day!

Aroma Cafe
Aroma Cafe is a cute little place in Studio City to come, relax and enjoy a cup of coffee(or tea, whatever you may prefer) and even better....people watch! Whether you want some coffee, dinner or even dessert, they got it! It even has a great little bookstore inside called The Portrait of a Bookstore.I have always loved stopping by this place with of course, my favorite person, my mother. We both adore the spot and not to mention, the little shops along the street, such as the Gelato shop (my mom's current obsession).
